Press event of the Bürgerstiftung Plauen

In October, the Community Foundation invites to a press conference for a special reason. The Plauen Community Foundation would like to point out once again that the deadline for submissions for funding in 2017 is November 30th. In the press conference, the board members Dr. Gogsch, Maik Immel and Dr. Bernd Märtner informed about the responsible work of the committees. The changes in the financial market face those responsible for the foundation with new challenges. The Foundation's capital must be created under close observation and this must be done, above all, safely and with investments that increase the foundation's capital - despite the current low interest rates. The Plauen Community Foundation has managed this. Maik Immel says that they are applying a "risk-discipline".

Meanwhile, the foundation has increasingly also registered endowments and donations. Committed Plauen citizens are more and more interested in the Foundation - entrepreneurs use anniversaries to ask their guests to forgo gifts and instead donate to the Plauen Community Foundation.

Plauen clubs will also benefit from this positive development in the coming year. The Foundation will provide €25,000 for the current funding period. The call goes to clubs in Plauen to submit their projects before the 30th of November 2016. The application is very simple. After the deadline, the requests will be formally reviewed. Following this, the applicant will be invited. In these discussions, the clubs have the opportunity to explain their project again and, if necessary, the application can be improved. The Community Foundation helps here whenever it can. Only after this the representatives of the Plauen Community Foundation will begin the selection process. In the spring of next year, the clubs will be informed whether and to what extent the support will be provided.

Information about previously funded projects can be found on the website. The Plauen Community Foundation looks forward to numerous applications.
