The deadline for the application of subsidies from the Bürgerstiftung (Community Foundation) Plauen is approaching. Plauen associations can submit their applications to the Bürgerstiftung Plauen for their upcoming projects until 30th November of this year. Last year, 27 associations did this - 19 received grants in 2017. Various projects from sports, culture and social life were among them. The Bürgerstiftung is looking forward to many projects in and around the city of Plauen. For next year, it will again use €25,000 for this.

On 9th October 2017, the Bürgerstiftung Plauen held a press conference. Here, it was again pointed out how straightforward the application is, and the Plauen media was asked to encourage all associations once again to submit their projects.

In addition, the members of the Management Board provided information on how to manage the foundations capital responsibly. The capital is invested in approximately 20 different financial products, in order to react flexibly to interest rate developments as well. €1.65 million of the foundation's capital is thus securely managed and increased. Since the Bürgerstiftung Plauen came into existence, approximately €170,000 have been collected as donations and gifts. Recently, companies used anniversaries, as well as special events to encourage their guests and partners to donate money towards the Bürgerstiftung instead of gifts.

To achieve even greater attention for the foundation, the foundation's members will continue presenting themselves to companies and associations and continue conveying the foundation's philosophy.

Deputy Chairman of the Board, Maik Immel, provided the information that in Germany there are 405 community foundations - only 79 of them have a capital of more than one million euros, including the Bürgerstiftung Plauen.

Information about previously funded projects can be found on the website. The Bürgerstiftung Plauen looks forward to numerous applications.
